Radium weapons are the primary weapons wielded by the members of the Adeptus Mechanicus Skitarri. These weapons are so volatile that they eventually kill their wielders. Their purpose is to not only slay the enemy with a blast of radioactive force, but to also render the battlefield a deadly rad-waste. Each weapon's bullet cylinder is so thoroughly bathed in radium that a volley can cause a localized radiation storm. Those inside soon find their flesh blackening and sloughing away.
The Scarlet Templar are an off-shoot of the Templar Calix from the Calixis Sector. Created by Titus of the Blackships, now prominent Inquisitor of the Ordo Goriae, and his then Templar Calix mentor Maximal Dolg, the Scarlet Templars were created to provide a suitable kind of elite combat psykers to maintain the security of vital assets for the Inquisition and the institution’s other allies. The Scarlet Templars are trained and conditioned in a variation of the Imperial Faith that put a great focus on the Primarch Sanguinius and his great sacrifice in the Emperor’s Name. Their powers are...
All the talents from the 4 books from DH2. Each talent imparts a unique ability to characters possessing it. Once an Acolyte possesses a talent, it is always in effect. In most cases, the ability confers a bonus to certain tasks, or allows him to perform special actions not available to other characters. Talents differ from skills in that a player usually does not need to use an action or test to utilize the ability. In essence, once a character has a talent, his actions always benefit from that talent, unless noted otherwise. Specific details for the new abilities that a talent grants are...
A curious vehicle that has either evolved in parallel or been redevelopped from STCs on many Imperial worlds, the Aerosani is an unusual snowmobile riding on broad skis and propelled by an externally mounted jet engine or propeller. Though awkward to steer, and somewhat difficult to repair because of their extremely large engines and light frames, these vehicles fare excellently on snow and ice, where their speed is almost wholly unmatched. The one flaw of the Aersoani is that it can only run on slippery terrain- these vehicles are seldom found except as curiosities on worlds which are not...
„Rivals for Glory“ (the BlackCrusade(tm) adventure from the GM-Kit) makes uses of a lot of random encounters as fillers between the relevant plot points, which is a fine thing if one intends to add additional scenes to it. Setting the 40K background aside, the whole affair is not unlike one of those high-fantasy adventures that dominated the RPG scene in the early days, and so inspiration for a little extra comes easy. After all, anything goes! In this document you will find additional encounters, some suggestions for changes to the original...
The innocuously named "Vyria-Pattern Hunting Rifle" is far less mundane than its named first implies. Firstly, the design itself is native to the pseudo-deathworld of Vyria V, a wasteland still recovering from a cataclysm millennia old. The Vyria-Pattern Hunting Rifle is a design that has been steadily modified over that period until about 200 years ago, when it reached its current state. Rugged and adaptable, the machine spirits within these strange weapons are notoriously loyal and hardy. The Mechanicus Explorators who found Vyria V, after 100 years and 67 accusations of tech-heresy, were...
The hot-shot volley-gun is a squad-based special weapon mainly used by the Elite Militarum Tempestus Scions of the Imperial Guard. Stronger and more powerful than hot-shot lasgun, these serve as the equivalent of a hot-shot lasgun heavy machinegun, being able to fire at high rate and with a greater intensity, piercing self-protections with ease and destroying flesh underneath. These weapons are two-barreled and plugged to a backpack battery.
