When using Luminen Blast or Luminen Shock attack you can choose to give it the maximal and overheat quality; if it overheats this way you cannot use any luminen abilities until it is repaired with a -20 tech use, and you cannot drop it to avoid taking damage.
Techpriest Oleg Palmcrantz of Niva Gustav was only a young initiate of no note when his research outpost was attacked by Ork Freebootaz. Outmanned and Outgunned, the resourceful Palmcrantz used spare parts and damaged M36 lasguns to create a fearsome anti-infantry weapon. He connected a standard charging station to a multi-use power pack, then wired eight lasguns into the charger and synchronized their triggers, creating a volley weapon that fired eight lasbolts simultaneously. Armed with several of these improvised weapons, Palmcrantz and his cohort were able to hold off the orks long enough...
A lesser known, but common pattern of transit vehicle on none hive worlds the Abreu Transit Bus carries the masses to their assigned work stations in reasonable time. Drivers of these busses are usually heavily cyberised, and rather cranky without several cups of recaf.
Vyria-Pattern weapons tend to be versatile, rugged, and accused of tech-heresy. This sidearm is no exception. Being a status symbol prior to discovery by the Imperium, these pistols serve to fulfill every role a soldier's rifle couldn't. Unusually heavy and large for a stub automatic, it is in fact designed to be used both as either a sidearm or a carbine. A stock, barrel shroud and the requisite conversion tools are stored within a unique holster, allowing even a relatively unskilled operator to quickly and easily modify the weapon to suit the situation at hand. Like other weapons made on...
Ortenebris are rare Orbs found on a multitude of planets through the milky way. They can very in size but are normally around the size of a human fist. They are normally destroyed on sight within the Imperium due to the simple fact that every intact Ortenebris has been fully sentient and able to communicate by vibrating the air around them. The few that have been left alive have been found to be fountains of knowledge, although what kinds of knowledge they contain can vary greatly. Psykers who encounter them say they have a strong, but not chaotic in nature, warp presence. There origins are...
Cobbled together by the tech-serfs of Niva Gustav for use against rampaging servitors, these simple devices incorporate a salvaged microwave emitter and a powerful capacitor inside a fragile clay shell. Breaking the shell connects the capacitor's circuit, burning out the microwave emitter with a wide-spectrum burst of high-intensity EM radiation. They can be used to temporarily disable machinery in a small radius, or emit a nasty shock. Many tech-serfs carry at least one on their person at all times, in case they are ambushed or unexpectedly attacked by wandering machine-life. On a roll of...
Adapted from Adeptus-B's Underhive Small Items Generator, this table is for randomly generating the junk, treasure, and occasionally useful piece of gear an Imperial Guardsman might find on the battlefield or in between combats in a warzone. This was designed primarily for use in urban/Forge World settings, but feel free to adapt it or modify it as needed.
